Rest’Art was founded in Riga in the beginning of the year 2007.
Members of the group started their co-operation much earlier in 2002. It was the first time when boys took the musical instruments in their hands. At that time they started to rehearse for a couple of hours every day. They weren’t afraid of experiments and were trying to find themselves through different styles of music. Coming up with new songs during their rehearsals and trying out as many cover versions as possible, they were getting familiar with new musical instruments and were learning how to play them. In the period of time from 2002 till 2006 the band started very active work taking part in different rock-festivals, competitions and concerts they organized themselves. Undoubtedly it helped to raise their musical level and soon the band got offers to co-operate with different musical bands.
Musicians within different bands were participating in rock-concerts with popular Russian rock-bands (Наив, Агата Кристи, Gorky Park, Чайф, Ногу Свело etc). They also took part in the large rock-festivals such as "Воздух 2007" in Petrozavodsk and “GrogyFest 2007” which headliner was popular band Rasmus, in Riga.
In 2007 the new vocalist Valery Yeromenko is entering the band. He brings the fresh perspective to the development of the band. For a while the band „locked” itself in a sound-recording studio „Sound Division” to record musical material which became the basis of new album.
During 2007 and 2008 the band is working at the debut album and from time to time is taking part in club events and large concerts worming up famous bands. In May, 2008 the band has accompanied very popular band «Сплин» in their tour to Latvia.
In March, 2008 the video for a song “Мир больших городов” appears on TV. At once it becomes one of the most popular on the «PBMK» channel and for a long time takes the top position up.
In the beginning of 2009 the band shoots the new video for the song “Останься со мной”. Listeners and famous music redactors were surprised by the high video quality. It is a new stage of band’s development. All the time Rest’Art is raising up its musical level.
